Antenatal Care is a very important and integral part of the Obstetric Management. Regular and detailed Antenatal Surveillance by providing the Antenatal Calendar, time specific ultrasound examinations, monitoring all the parameters and timely intervention has a significant role to play in the obstetric management. "Objective oriented antenatal visits" help in identifying and anticipating the high risk factors and complications at the earliest, hence help significantly to bring down almost all the High Risk obstetric group into low risk group. Complete antenatal records help the treating obstetrician to plan and execute the line of management in time.

Principles of ANC at AlkaHospital:

1	Alka Hospital advocates the early registration of the pregnant women at the ANC Clinic. 84 % of the pregnant women are registered in the first trimester at Alka Hospital ANC Clinic.
2	Strict follow up as per the Customized Antenatal Care Calendar indicating "Objective oriented antenatal visits", given to the each patient at the first visit.
3	Regular Physical and Ultrasound Examinations help the obstetrician to evaluate the patient objectively, to identify and predict the complication at the earliest, so as to intervene in time.
4	Sensitizing the treating medical and paramedical team for the high risk patients and their high risk behavior.
