A young male patient of 35 years presented with 72 mm staghorn type stone in the right sided kidney with total loss of the function of the said kidney. Densely adherent right sided kidney had to be removed by Open Radical Nephrectomy with removal of large stone and patient was saved. Such a complicated surgery was performed under RSBY Scheme, a cashless medical treatment for the smart card holder patient. Dr Prakash Modi ( MS ) performed this surgery so skillfully that patient had uneventful and uncomplicated postoperative period.
